Weekend Itinerary
Grover Beach is perfect for a mid-week or weekend getaway.
Let us help you plan your next 2 - 3 day escape.

DAY ONE
-
Arrive and get settled in to your hotel or vacation rental. Grover Beach offers several great, affordable lodging options.
-
Stop in for a cold one or a full craft beer flight at one of our local breweries: ManRock Brewing Co. or Apogee Brewing Co.
-
Next, head down to the beach for a walk. You can drive onto the sand at the west end of Grand Avenue. Day passes cost $10. Or you can park at the large parking area and walk down onto the sand.
-
Finish your evening with a sunset supper at Fin's Bar & Grill, with fantastic patio seating right on the beach, awesome seafood, and live music many nights.
DAY TWO
-
The next morning, start with breakfast at one of Grover Beach's many great restaurants and coffee shops. For an artisan coffee and pastry, try Perfetto Cafe or Red Bee. For a full breakfast, try Grover Station Grill or Lil Bits.
-
After you fuel up, save energy by renting E-bikes at Coastal Vibes 805. Then peddle down to check out the Monarch Butterfly Grove to watch the butterflies.
-
Ready for lunch? Lumpia Bros. Cafe, Garlands Hamburgers, or Grover Beach Sourdough would all be excellent choices.
-
Head back to the beach for an afternoon of surfing, swimming or paddle boarding and soaking up the waves and sunshine.
-
After a day at the beach get ready for a night out with a fantastic epicurean dinner. Either Spoon Trade or Pono Pacific Kitchen would be excellent choices.
-
End your evening by testing your wits at The Locked Inn Escape Room. This escape room is rated one of the 10 Best in the United States. Choose from the different themed rooms, including the Alice Suite, Room 1985 and the Pumpkin King's Christmas Cabin.

DAY THREE
-
Start off a day of family fun with a morning visit to The Caffeinated Cat Cafe, the only cat cafe on the Central Coast. Enjoy a coffee and pastries while you cuddle with adoptable kitties.
-
Next, if you have kids in tow, hit up the Exploration Discover Center. This local children's museum is great for ages 2-12, with a rotating display of hands-on activities.
-
What is a getaway without a little shopping? Hit up some of our unique independent businesses, like Beads Beads Beads or Zacster's Hobbies. And DO NOT SKIP our many thrift shops!
