AJ Spurs is a barbecue institution on the Central Coast, with festive Old West atmosphere and family style sides accompanying steaks, ribs and more.

Pono Pacific Kitchen

A West End staple, Pono serves up Pacific-inspired cuisine in an upscale setting just down from the beach. Enjoy fresh seafood and creative sake cocktails.

The Spoon Trade & Grover Beach Sourdough

The Spoon Trade is a local favorite that’s been featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. They serve up creative farm-to-table favorites like chicken and dumplings and fried bologna sandwiches, along with craft beer and wine.

La Casita Mexican Restaurant

Yamato Sushi

This unassuming little restaurant serves up some of the best sushi on the Central Coast. Run by well-known local sushi chef Steve Shin, Yamato is always packed at its tables and bar seating. Expect a lively atmosphere and sake shots!
Lumpia Bros. Cafe
1187 W. Grand Ave.
The newest restaurant on our list, popular Lumpia Bros. serves Filipino dishes as well as acai bowls and island fare like Spam Musubi.
Taqueria San Miguel
350 W. Grand Ave.
This walk-up taco stand is known for its $1.59 Taco Tuesday deal, and it will have a line if you go on Tuesdays! Try lots of different meat options, like birria, al pastor and carnitas, because they are all delicious.
Pier 101 Seafood

This casual seafood restaurant opened in March 2025 and has been serving up great reviews. Enjoy coastal staples like fish ‘n’ chips and calamari, as well as specialities like Octopus Cocktail and Aguachiles.
